At The Roydery Company, every piece is made by hand with considerable time and care. Because of the nature of our products, please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
1. Return window
Eligible apparel and merchandise may be returned within 7 days of delivery. To qualify, the item must be unused, unwashed, undamaged, and returned in its original condition and packaging with all tags and labels intact. Items returned in a used, altered, or damaged condition will not be accepted.
2. Non-returnable items
The following are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except where the item arrives damaged or defective:

original one-of-a-kind hand-embroidered artworks;

made-to-order and customised or personalised items;
-
items marked as final sale, clearance, or discounted;

gift cards, where applicable.
3. Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email us at rohan@theroydery.com within 48 hours of delivery, quoting your order number and attaching clear photographs of the item, the damage, and the outer packaging. We will review your claim and, where approved, arrange a replacement, exchange, or refund at our discretion.
4. Natural variations are not defects
As our products are handcrafted, minor variations in stitching, texture, thread placement, colour, and finish are natural characteristics of handmade work and are not considered defects. Similarly, slight differences between the product image and the item received due to screen settings, lighting, or photography do not qualify as grounds for return.
5. How to request a return
To initiate an eligible return:

Email rohan@theroydery.com with your order number, the item(s) concerned, and the reason for return, within the 7-day window.

Wait for our written confirmation and return instructions.

Ship the item only after receiving our confirmation.
Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted or refunded.
6. Return shipping
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error or the item arrived damaged or defective, in which case we will bear the cost. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.
7. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the amount to reflect in your account.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error or a damaged or defective item.
8. Exchanges
Exchanges are offered on eligible items subject to availability. If your preferred replacement is unavailable, we will process a refund in accordance with this policy.
9. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before they have been dispatched or, in the case of made-to-order items, before production has commenced. To request a cancellation, email rohan@theroydery.com as early as possible with your order number. Once an order has been dispatched or production has begun, it cannot be cancelled.
10. International orders
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, and any related charges are non-refundable. Return shipping for international orders is the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
